We recently had the pleasure of taking engagement photos of Jill and Nick at Old York Cellars in Ringoes, NJ. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful September day! The sun was shining and there was a light breeze in the vineyards. The air was just starting to smell like fall, and the grape vines were alive with the buzz of bees, as we passed many happy wine tasters. We had a wonderful time exploring the grounds of Old York Cellars with Jill and Nick. They are an easygoing couple that are so much fun to work with. We are thrilled with the beautiful photos we were able to take.
We asked Jill to share their story with us and here is what we learned!
Jill & Nick met almost 6 years ago through mutual friends. After a few years of hanging out by their local lake on weekends, they began to date. They continued to date despite knowing that Nick was moving to California in a few short weeks. The couple decided to stay in touch after the move, which led to their decision to make their relationship long distance. They knew it would be hard, but they saw that they had something special. After a year of living 2,800 miles apart, Nick moved back to New Jersey where they bought their first home together. It’s right on the lake by both of their hometowns. One afternoon in May 2017, Jill came home from work to a surprise. Nick proposed to her on their deck, overlooking the water with a gorgeous ring, a beautiful bouquet of flowers, and champagne. They are so excited to be engaged and looking forward to their wedding next September!
